What's the most important thing to ensuring your NFL Sunday in Indianapolis is everything you hoped for? Great seats! The Colts are typically a hot ticket and will be even more this season, but don’t fret. You can always find great seats with Only Indy Tickets.

What Are The Best Seats?

While many fans say there isn't a bad seat in the house at Lucas Oil Stadium, your best bet is to find seats within the 20-yard lines. The cream of the crop are the club seats in the 100 and 200 levels. But, if you want to sit right behind the Colts bench, go with sections 139-141. You'll also find fantastic club seats, with their extra cushioning and added leg room, in the 300 and 400 levels.

If your price range is more suited for the top terrace level, try to stay toward the middle of the field in sections 538-542 or 511-515 for the best views. The best bet in finding last-minute deals -- especially on the secondary market -- is in the endzones. These give you a unique perspective on the game, and you may even see the winning drive coming right at you!

Take Your Pick of Monday Night Football Games

The team has a couple of special dates on the calendar this season as they’re hosting two Monday Night Football matchups - Nov. 28 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dec. 26 against the Los Angeles Chargers. You won’t want to miss these prime-time showcases.

Go Early And Enjoy A Day Of Fun

It’s even more important than ever to plan ahead and get downtown early considering the ongoing construction projects, namely the North Split reconstruction. You’re well advised to plan your route and arrive several hours before game time. Once you’re there, you can enjoy the following:

  • Touchdown Town: A good choice for all ages, Touchdown Town is located off South St. near the North Gate of Lucas Oil Stadium. It's a Colts-operated, pre-game party featuring live music, cheerleader autographs, food trucks, giveaways, and other activities. Your kids can test their skills in the Play 60 Zone and 40-yard dash area while you listen to the Colts pre-game show or do a little browsing at the Colts Pro Shop. And you want to know the best part? It's free to enter.

  • Nearby restaurants and bars: There are a range of options for having an early lunch and beverage before the usual 1 p.m. kickoff. Some of the most popular spots are the Slippery Noodle Inn, Kilroy's Bar & Grill, and Brothers Bar & Grill. All are situated off the stadium's northeast corner and within easy walking distance. These establishments typically have special game-day hours and may open as early as 10 a.m. Check before you go and get there when they open to find a table.

Parking

There's an abundance of parking in downtown Indianapolis for Colts games. Generally, you can expect to pay between $10-40, depending on how close you are to the field. If you're interested in tailgating, one of the most popular spots is the Hurst Bean Field lot just south of Lucas Oil Stadium. The Blue Crew lots also have a great game-day atmosphere but require a membership and reserved space.

If you're looking for a parking garage, the closest one is the Pan Am Plaza at 201 South Capitol Avenue. However, an excellent surface lot just east of the stadium is 25 E. South St. Of course, many people find the most luck at Circle Center Mall and take a short 10-minute walk to the game.

Once You’re Inside Lucas Oil Stadium

After you arrive, there are a couple of things to consider. First of all, this is a cashless venue so have your credit card ready. You may also use Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you're wondering if the roof will be open, simply check the Colts' social media for an update the morning of the game.

What To Eat At The Game

You'll find all of your typical stadium favorites like hot dogs, hamburgers, and popcorn, but if you want something a little more tantalizing to your taste buds, we suggest:

  • Buffalo chicken totchos

  • Fried pickle chips with cajun ranch

  • Loaded pulled pork nachos

  • Italian beef sandwich

You'll also find various vegetarian options, such as cauliflower wings and veggie chicken tenders.

Need to find something for your young fans? The Colts have revamped their kids' meal to include a fantastic deal. The meal consists of a hot dog, apple slices, string cheese, a drink in a commemorative cup, and free Colts arm sleeves – all for just $8.

Non-Game Entertainment

There is never a dull moment inside Lucas Oil Stadium. Even when the players aren't on the field, you'll find a bevy of activities, from cheerleader performances to the Colts drumline. And, of course, the official mascot, Blue, will be walking around for photos and shenanigans. Be sure to check before you come to see what kind of special pre-game, halftime, and post-game activities are going on that week.

There are a few things that make attending a Colts game truly unique, such as:

The Anvil - Who will strike the anvil this week? Colts all-time sack leader Robert Mathis started the tradition in 2017 - a great choice considering the number of times he dropped the hammer on opposing quarterbacks. Other former greats like Reggie Wayne, Adam Vinatieri, and Pat McAfee have also done the honors, but this isn't just for past Colts players. Other sports stars like Victor Oladipo (Pacers, Indiana University) and Tucker Barnhart (Cincinnati Reds, Brownsburg native) have also participated. This ceremony is a great way to get fired up just before kickoff.

Sing along - It's only natural that the trademark song from an Indiana legend is played during Colts games. But "Jack and Diane" is not just played for your listening enjoyment. When you hear John Mellencamp over the speakers during the third-quarter break, go ahead and belt out the words you know by heart. And don't worry about your singing voice. You're singing along with 70,000 other people. And yes, you can also play air drums during the solo - just don't knock someone's drink to the floor.

Hall of Fans - There’s something special about seeing a game live that can’t be matched when you’re sitting at home. The roar of the crowd and camaraderie with other fans is part of the fun. The Colts understand the importance of fans and have honored them with a special Hall of Fans on the Terrace Level. Who knows, you may recognize some of the cheering faces on display.
